Sunshine, wild flowers and wineries

We began our week in WA taking in the beautiful sights of Freemantle…(Little Creatures Brewery). 🍻Actually there is more to Fremantle than the brewery….we enjoyed spending time with Sam, Taya and the kids exploring the markets, and lovely heritage buildings along the way and A ride on the Ferris wheel for the brave…

It’s a town with lots of history, many awesome buildings that have been restored or kept in good shape from settlement. Warehouse and commercial spaces converted to accomodation or retail, bar and cafe precincts make the place worth exploring.
Then there is the Margaret River district, what a gem. It is a great place to visit, we spent 5 days meandering through wineries and craft breweries sampling the local fare. The scenery is great, the coast is spectacular the forests are awesome. It is great to call in to the cellar doors and speak to the locals about their wine and vineyards, some of them are really spectacular. Then there is the chocolate factory 😍.

We managed quite a few tastings of wine and beer at the cellar doors along the way and filled our days with exploring the beautiful coast and hinterland. The sun shone for us pretty much the whole time we were there and time seemed to slip away, as it does. We are very excited to be heading to Nusa Lombongan to spend 9 days with Wendy and Alan in their island retreat, looking forward to the warm weather and good times ahead. ✈️
